Help shape the future of your park
Greater Sydney Parklands is looking to strengthen how we consult and engage with you and our city’s diverse communities so we can enhance the way we plan and manage our parks and ensure we respond to local community needs and aspirations now and into the future.
How to get involved
Consultation and Engagement Framework
The public consultation period for Greater Sydney Parklands’ Draft Consultation and Engagement Framework has now ended. A ‘What we heard’ report and the final approved Framework have been published on the consultation and engagement page. The Consultation and Engagement Framework was approved by the Minster for Infrastructure, Cities and Active Transport on 28 February 2023.
Community trustee boards
Community trustee board members were appointed on 5 December 2022 by the Minster for Infrastructure, Cities and Active Transport. Visit our community trustee board page for more information.
Consultation and Engagement Framework
A key focus of the Greater Sydney Parklands Consultation and Engagement Framework is how we plan to listen to a variety of opinions, ideas and local knowledge, plus use data, to help inform our decision-making. It also identifies innovative ways we can reach a wide range of park users, ensuring everyone can participate in a fair and inclusive way.
We received community and stakeholder feedback on the Draft Framework from August to October 2022, and also received community trustee board feedback in January and February 2023.
The Consultation and Engagement Framework was finalised and submitted to the Minister for Infrastructure, Cities and Active Transport in February 2023. The Minister approved the Framework on 28 February 2023.
